Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant issued an order to evacuate populated areas on the border with Lebanon, Haaretz reports.
The media also reported that Israel fired a Patriot surface-to-air missile near the border with Lebanon, near the Israeli city of Safed.
An extremely tense atmosphere reigns in the Northern Galilee region on Sunday during the second day of the war. The majority of residents living near the border with Lebanon actively responded to security recommendations and voluntarily evacuated to the southern regions.
It is mostly emergency crews and essential workers who remain in towns near the border fence. Emergency teams in all villages along the Lebanese border were reinforced Saturday evening with additional IDF forces. There is minimal civilian vehicle traffic on the roads while the presence of tanks and other military equipment increases.
