The spokesperson of the RA Prime Minister, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, at a press conference held on Tuesday, referred to the complaint of parents from Nagorno-Karabakh that some schools in Yerevan refuse to accept children.

"There are cases when people apply to schools that have a certain licensed number of students, and naturally the school rejects the student and refers them to another nearby school," she said.

Nazeli Baghdasaryan said she agrees that one should be guided by the best interest of the child. "But it should also be noted that the schools have a limited number of places for students, if they are licensed with the given number, this alone causes additional problems for our compatriots from Nagorno-Karabakh," she said.

Nazeli Baghdasaryan added that there is a similar problem in Yerevan kindergartens as well. "It should be taken into account that the waiting list here is quite large and it is not appropriate to speculate that our displaced compatriots are not accepted in this or that kindergarten. We have a different picture in other regions of the Republic of Armenia, so it would be good to consider settlement in the regions of the Republic of Armenia," he said.
