Security in the modern world does not consist of one component, and we see it in various places. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in an interview to Public Television, answering the question whether the military threat against Armenia is increasing, taking into account its tense relations with Russia and the problems with arms sales.

"Even at those points where it seems that there is no problem of weapons, army's combat readiness, being contemporary, one day we wake up and see that these countries are facing a very big problem. So, when we say ‘security,’ we are not correct to mean only weapons. Weapons are very important, but the most important component of security is to be able to create a situation where there is no need to use weapons because once weapons are used, who will be the allies of your opponents? You could have a hundred times more weapons and ammunition than your capabilities, but such countries of the world start attacking you that nothing will help; that is, we have to look into the chain," he said.

According to Pashinyan, the statement adopted in Granada, Spain recently does not neutralize the military threat against Armenia, but it is a weight on the weighing scale of that neutralization; not the heaviest weight, but not the lightest either.
