The Turkish ambassador was recalled from Israel for consultations, the Republic's Foreign Ministry told reporters.
“Due to the unfolding humanitarian tragedy in the Gaza Strip, caused by ongoing Israeli attacks on civilians, and Israel's refusal of calls for a ceasefire and the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid, it has been decided to recall our Ambassador in Tel Aviv, Şakir Özkan Torunlar, to Ankara for consultations,” the ministry noted.
