The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) of the Armed Forces has announced that it has sent a nuclear submarine to the Middle East.
"On November 5, 2023, an Ohio-class submarine arrived in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility," CENTCOM informed on X, former Twitter.
Earlier, the US sent two aircraft carriers to the Eastern Mediterranean.
The forward headquarters of CENTCOM is located at Al Udeid Air Base, near Doha, Qatar since 2002.
