Of course, we have intensive contacts in accordance with our mutual obligations, agreements, bilateral relations. But, of course, we cannot fail to record the sometimes aggressive rhetoric of individual politicians in the territory of Armenia, which is generally beyond the limits off appropriateness. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), stated this at Wednesday’s press briefing—and when asked about how intense the contacts between Russia and Armenia are now.

"Of course, first of all, all the agreements that were reached at the highest level, which were worded as relevant documents and, of course, contacts in the existing mechanisms, which I noted again during the implementation of agreements at the highest level, are intensively discussed. Of course, we have intensive contacts regarding our mutual obligations, agreements, bilateral relations. But, of course, we cannot fail to record the sometimes aggressive rhetoric, generally beyond the limits off appropriateness, of individual politicians in the territory of Armenia, addressed not only to representatives of the Russian government, but also to journalists, experts and in general, to our country; we cannot fail to react to this. And, of course, there are also specific actions and steps being taken by Yerevan, which also do not correspond to what we agreed on, what we signed under, everything we proceed from. Undoubtedly, we will respond to this also," said the official representative of the Russian MFA.
