YEREVAN. – Armenian jet will transfer on Friday humanitarian aid by the Armenian government to Turkish Izmir city, suffered from the earthquake, Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, via the Turkish Red Crescent and the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre Armenia on Thursday received the Turkish government’s formal request for earthquake relief.
Over 40 tons of aid cargo comprising tents, sleeping bags, blankets, and sleeping gears will be transferred via plane to Turkey.
Armenian MES did not send rescuers to Turkey. Turkey has applied for tents and sleeping gears but not rescuers, while rescuers are usually sent if mentioned in the application.
