From January 1, 2024, the Republic of Armenia takes over the presidency of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) bodies from the Russian Federation. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at the extended-format session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council of the EAEU in Saint Petersburg, Russia.    

“We hope for the support and effective cooperation of the member states in the implementation of the tasks set before us. It is symbolic that the presidency of Armenia coincides with the tenth anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the EAEU,” Pashinyan added.
