There are certain calculations related to the Yeraskh-Ordubad-Meghri-Horadiz railway. Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, stated this at a press conference Friday, summing up their activities in the passing year.

"If I remember correctly, there is a need to carry out construction work in the Yeraskh [village] section—it’s about one kilometer, as well as the entire section of Meghri [city section]. We have certain calculations. Moreover, we had certain preliminary calculations at the initial phase, in 2021. Later, we ordered our University of Architecture and Construction to do more detailed work. Our group of specialists did a good, thorough job," said Sanosyan.

According to him, if the political decisions come to a conclusion, the process of eliminating the deficiencies in the infrastructure of the aforesaid railway link will begin.

To remind, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan had announced that the process of unblocking regional communications will begin with the re-operation of the Yeraskh-Horadiz railway.
