Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on granting Russian citizenship to foreigners who have signed a military service contract in the Russian Armed Forces and their family members, reports Argumenty i Fakty newspaper.
It follows from the decree that foreign nationals who have signed a military service contract in the Russian armed forces or military units during a special military operation have the right to declare their intention to obtain Russian citizenship.
In addition, foreign contract servicemen who retired from the Russian army during the same period also will be able to get a Russian passport.
