On January 4, the Armenian side responded to the Azerbaijani side’s proposals for the peace treaty. There is an agreement that the border delimitation commissions of the two countries also will meet at the end of January. The secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, announced this in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia.
"Now we [i.e. Armenia] expect Azerbaijan's response. We also consider the dynamics positive. But there are issues that we had agreed upon during the verbal negotiations, but we have seen certain setbacks in the text of the [draft] peace treaty. We expect to finalize the peace treaty as soon as possible through negotiations. What is on the negotiating table and what Armenia proposes, security guarantees are being created for Armenia," added the secretary of the Security Council of Armenia.
