New formularies of land-mined areas will be transferred to Azerbaijan in the coming days. The Republic of Armenia National Security Service (RA NSS) issued a statement about this.

"The Republic of Armenia, expressing its commitment to the peace agenda with Azerbaijan and based on humanitarian considerations, on June 12, July 3, October 19, November 1 and November 29, 2021, transferred, without preconditions, 972 logbooks (formularies) of the minefields in the AR [(Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic)] area to the representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

After this unilateral humanitarian step, the Republic of Azerbaijan launched an information campaign, accusing the Republic of Armenia of providing inaccurate and incomplete logbooks and used the humanitarian step to incite hatred.

Representatives of the Republic of Armenia have repeatedly stated at the public and working levels that there are simply no better-quality maps at the disposal of the RA. And the transferred maps were acquired through NK [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] servicemen.

In recent times, after several reports by the Azerbaijani media about AR citizens receiving bodily injuries from a landmine explosion and in continuation of the agreement reached on December 7, 2023 as a result of the negotiations between the office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, that is, to take tangible steps towards building trust between the two states, the RA National Security Service has resumed query work among NK ex-servicemen, as a result of which 8 new logbooks have appeared.

Those logbooks will be transferred to the Azerbaijani side through working channels in the coming days. Their copies will be transferred to international partners," the NSS of Armenia noted in its statement.
