YEREVAN. - Exhibition of Japanese prints will take place in Armenia’s National Gallery. The exhibition will be opened on November 8.  It is dedicated to Japanese International Cooperation Agency’s transfer of special equipment to the Armenian side. The equipment is for wood carving.

“Hikari” organization and the Armenian representative of JT international Luxemburg are partners of the exhibition. Japan’s ambassador in Armenia Takehito Harada (residence in Moscow), Armenia’s Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan and guests will be present during the opening ceremony.

The Japanese wood carving technique called “Ukio” goes back to 16-18 centuries and is a unique phenomenon in world arts.
