The official welcoming ceremony for Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan took place in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, the Armenpress correspondent reports from Budapest.

The ceremony was held at the Kossuth Lajos Square in Budapest, where the Armenian President was welcomed by his Hungarian colleague, Katalin Novak.

After that, Khachaturyan will go to the Heroes' Square, where he will pay tribute to the Hungarian heroes who died in the wars.

Subsequently, Vahagn Khachaturyan will meet with Hungarian President Katalin Novak at the Hungarian presidential residence, which will be followed by the joint news conference of the two presidents.

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan is in Budapest on an official visit.

During the visit, Khachaturyan will meet also with the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Laszlo Kover.

The President of Armenia will also meet with the representatives of the Armenian community of Hungary.
