Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the newly appointed ambassador of Japan to Armenia, Yutaka Aoki.

The premier congratulated the ambassador on assuming this diplomatic mission, and emphasized the importance of Armenia-Japan cooperation in all domains, the PM's office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. In particular, Pashinyan stressed the need for consistent development of economic relations and the implementation of consistent steps in that regard. Also, the premier lauded Armenia’s cooperation with Japan in crisis management.

In turn, Ambassador Aoki noted that he will make all efforts to promote the development of bilateral relations in various domains. I addition, the diplomat emphasized that the Japanese government is interested in the Crossroads of Peace project introduced by the Armenian government.

Subsequently, the interlocutors exchanged views on various matters of mutual interest.
