Eleven earthquakes were recorded in the state of California within an hour, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS) data,
The first quake, with a magnitude of 4.8, was recorded at 8:36 UTC. Its epicenter was three kilometers from El Centro city, and at a depth of 18.9 kilometers.
It was followed by ten more tremors.
There are no reports yet on any casualties and devastation.
