Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Monday met with the European Commission's Director General of the Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Gert Jan Koopman, in Brussels, the Armenian foreign ministry reports.
Ahead of the session of the Armenia-European Union (EU) Partnership Council, a wide range of matters on the Armenia-EU bilateral agenda were addressed, particularly the effective implementation of the provisions of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement and the prospects for deepening Armenia-EU cooperation.
In addition, views were exchanged on steps aimed at increasing Armenia's economic resilience.
The interlocutors reflected also on the security situation and the existing challenges in connection with ensuring lasting stability in the South Caucasus.
Furthermore, Mirzoyan and Koopman discussed Armenia's participation in regional economic and transport programs, as well as considered the possibilities of further promotion of the Crossroads of Peace program developed by the Armenian government.
