STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) President Bako Sahakyan on Monday arrived in Cologne, Germany, for a working visit. On the same day, he met with representatives of the city’s Armenian organizations and business circles and discussed the implementation of a variety of projects in NKR. 

Afterwards, President Sahakyan visited the Headquarters of the German Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, where he held a private conversation with Diocesan Primate, Archbishop Karekin Bekciyan. The President subsequently met with representatives of Cologne’s Armenian community, NKR President’s Press Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

Bako Sahakyan noted that German Armenians possess a huge potential, which creates promising prospects for cooperation. In this respect, the President stressed the significance of Cologne’s Armenian community, which is one of Germany’s most populated and organized communities around which the German-Armenian community unites.
