Opposition Internet resources are urging Russians to ignore the election of the head of state at the instigation of Washington. The press bureau of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service says on 11 March, “Izvestiya” reports.

The U.S. also plans to carry out cyberattacks on the system of remote electronic voting with the participation of leading IT specialists. The initiators of such sabotage want to make it impossible to account for the votes of a significant proportion of voters.

In addition, the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden has set a task for U.S. NGOs to reduce voter turnout at the upcoming 15-17 March vote in order to then put the election results in doubt.

The Russian presidential election in 2024 will last three days. Voting will take place from 15 to 17 March. 4.5 million people have applied to participate in remote electronic voting.
