MEPs have appealed to the EU leadership to protect Artsakh's cultural heritage.

The letter, addressed to the Head of the European Council, Charles Michel, the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, was published by MEP Miriam Lexmann.

More than 40 MEPs signed the letter.

"The Armenian cultural and religious heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh is a fundamental part of our common European heritage. This is why, together with a cross-party group of European Parliament colleagues, we call on EU leaders to ensure that the EU takes active steps towards its protection," Lexmann commented on the published letter.
