These are political decisions. And in my opinion, in this complicated geopolitical situation, they give us the opportunity to have a more correct positioning both in international courts and within the country. Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan stated this speaking with reporters at the National Assembly of Armenia on Tuesday—and addressing the question of how correct it is that having many Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan, the Armenian government had returned to Azerbaijan, and as a show of goodwill, the Azerbaijani detainee who had crossed into Armenia a few months ago.
And commenting on the reports that Armenia is going to withdraw its international lawsuits filed against Azerbaijan, the justice minister said. "I cannot comment; they are only at the phase of conversations. If it is a discussion phase, there may be certain agreements to reach a settlement in this or that case, as in all processes.”
