ANKARA. – French FM Alain Juppé called the issue of the Genocide of 1915 a “challenge” on Friday in Ankara, Turkey. He expressed readiness of his state to organize and host Armenian-Turkish discussions on the subject.

During the joint press conference Juppé with his Turkish counterpart stated that all the major states conduct studies on their own history, Turkish Anadolu reports. Such studies may be conducted within the frameworks of a commission of historians. The source states that French FM called the period of the Armenian Genocide hard both for Armenia and for Turkey.
