WASHINGTON. – Iran is on the edge of ‘unprecedented isolation’ on the background of agreed position of all the major world powers opposing Tehran’s intention to carry out activities in order to get nuclear weapons, U.S. National Security Advisor Tom Donilon said at a briefing, Reuters informs.
Danilon includes also Russia and Chine with the U.S. among major powers, who ‘share the same goal not to let Iranians move forward in the development of nuclear weapons.’
The U.S. President’s administration intends to carry out additional sanctions in the near future regarding Iran, CNN reports quoting a diplomatic source. The new sanctions will refer to the oil-chemical industry of Iran. The decision may be made on November 21.
EU states may carry out new sanctions against Iran in the near future, after EU leaders’ meeting, which is scheduled for the upcoming week, CNN reports.
