The Azerbaijani authorities have launched a new judicial farce. This time the “accused “is Armenian man Rashid Beglaryan, a captive from Nagorno-Karabakh.
The investigation documents were unveiled Friday at the session at the Sabunchu District Court, presided over by judge Ali Suleymanov of the Fuzuli Military Court, reports APA.
"During Beglaryan’s investigation, interesting points were revealed. It turned out that nearly 2 million euros from the Republic of France were transferred to his accounts. According to his claim, some individuals living in France donated that money to help him," APA adds, in part.
Rashid Beglaryan was captured by Azerbaijanis last summer. The State Security Service of Azerbaijan has included Beglaryan among the participants of the "Khojaly genocide" carried out by Azerbaijanis themselves, but attributed to the Armenian side.
