I wanted to go to Tavush to meet our people, to understand the situation on the spot, at the same time try to see where that so-called "fence" is. The leader of the opposition Tavush for the Homeland movement of Armenia, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, told this to reporters Friday before leaving for the border villages of Tavush Province.

"It was a fence, it was a border line, it was barbed wire. Where is it located, which there isn’t in videos, photos until today? Let's go to Kirants and Voskepar [villages], see with our own eyes, make sure if there is or not. He [i.e. PM Nikol Pashinyan] was saying, ‘It's in Voskepar.’ Let's go see [it]. We will pass along the entire border line," said Archbishop Galstanyan,

The protests and civil disobedience actions by the opposition Tavush for the Homeland movement, led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, had started in Armenia after it became known on April 19 that Armenia and Azerbaijan had agreed to start border delimitation at Tavush Province of Armenia. After holding subsequent demonstrations in Kirants village of Tavush Province for days, Archbishop Galstanyan had announced that he was going to march to Yerevan to demand the resignation of PM Nikol Pashinyan. Arriving in the Armenian capital on May 9, Galstanyan held a large rally demanding Pashinyan's resignation. And during the rally on May 26, the transitional government was announced, whose PM candidate is Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan.
