Armenia shares EU values and wants to be a part of the European Union. Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, told this to RUS.LSM.lv.
Simonyan stated that a few days ago, the matter of holding a referendum on Armenia becoming a member of the EU was discussed in the country’s Parliament.
"I believe that we will have this referendum in the near future, and I am sure that our people will say ‘yes,’" added the speaker of the Armenian legislative body.
