Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Marc Behrendt, Director for Europe and Eurasia programs at Freedom House international human rights organization, the PM's office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The premier emphasized the cooperation and dialogue between the Armenian government and civil society, which contributes to the effective implementation of democratic reforms in various domains. Pashinyan noted that Freedom House's reports also provide an important impetus to the Armenian government in promoting reforms. The PM stressed that the development of democratic institutions and the reform agenda is a strategy for the Armenian government.

The interlocutors discussed the reforms being carried out in Armenia in the fight against corruption, in freedom of speech, ensuring the independence of the judicial system and some other domains, as well as the challenges of the forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh and the steps being taken by the Armenian government towards addressing these challenges.
