The majority of Americans believe that incumbent US President Joe Biden is too old to be re-elected for a second term, according to the results of a survey conducted by The Wall Street Journal.

As per this survey, 80% of respondents agree that Biden is too old for another presidential term. Two-thirds of the supporters of the Democratic Party say they would like to replace Biden with another candidate. And 47% of respondents said they would like to replace both the current president and former head of state, Donald Trump, with other candidates.

According to this survey, if the US presidential elections were held today, 48% of respondents would vote for Trump, and 42% for Biden.

The survey was conducted from June 29 to July 2 among 1,500 Americans. The margin error is 2.5 percentage points.

The US presidential elections will be held on November 5. Trump has already received the required number of delegate votes to be nominated as the Republican candidate for the head of state. Biden, who is running for a second term, has secured the support of a sufficient number of delegates from the Democratic Party. Their candidacies will be confirmed at the party congresses to be held in the summer.
