Armenia's Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan met with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, Omar Ahmed Suwaina Al Suwaidi, within the framework of his visit to Russia.

The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in agriculture, as well as export promotion and quality standardization, and reflected on the projects where the UAE can act as a co-investor, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Presenting the project to create a "dry port" in Shirak Province of Armenia, the economy minister proposed to discuss the possibilities of cooperation in this regard as well.

Also, Papoyan touched upon  the Crossroads of Peace initiative of the Armenian government, which will contribute to the creation of a new situation of peace and stability in the region for Armenia and neighboring countries.
