The Russian Interior Ministry has proposed to expel migrants from the country for violations of 20 more articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, among them minor hooliganism and violation of public order.

"The bill proposes to introduce expulsion in 20 more articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses, most of which are aimed at protecting legal relations in the field of public order and public safety, including countering extremist manifestations", - stated in the message on the website of the department. 

According to Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, the new bill will start expelling migrants for violating public order and security. We are talking about, among other things, disobedience to the lawful order of a law enforcement officer, petty hooliganism, propaganda or demonstration of extremist or Nazi symbols, calls for the implementation of terrorist activities, providing false information in the implementation of migration registration, and others.

Earlier, the Interior Ministry told Interfax that more than 8,000 protocols were drawn up against migrants for disobedience to the lawful order of law enforcement agencies, as well as more than 209,000 protocols for encroachment on public safety and law and order. The agency also proposed to increase fines for persons who committed migration offenses.
