Turkey hopes for a speedy conclusion of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this at a press conference in Washington after the NATO summit.

"Ankara is eager to see an agreement and peace between Yerevan and Baku. We want to see this reconciliation as soon as possible. In our meetings with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, we see positive steps in this direction," Erdogan said.

He also noted that the Azerbaijani leader supports "positive measures to resolve the conflict."
