LOS ANGELES. – Nagorno-Karabakh [Artsakh] President Bako Sahakyan participated in Shant theater opening ceremony in Los Angeles on Friday.

Sahakyan thanked the philanthropist Robert Oghlaghjian and stressed the importance of opening of the Armenian theatre in one of the most Armenian-populated places of Diaspora, presidential press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. He also added that it will contribute to the preservation of the Armenian identity, strengthening of Armenia-Diaspora relations and raise awareness about the Armenian culture in American society.

Artsakh President stressed also the necessity of establishing cooperation with Artsakh theatrical art sphere. It is demanded both for Diaspora and Armenia. 

Spiritual leader of Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Chief Consul of Armenia to Los Angeles Grigor Hovhannisyan, executive director of Hayastan All-Armenian Foundation Ara Vardanyan, head of Centre Information department of the Artsakh President David Babayan, permanent representative of Artsakh to U.S. and Canada Robert Avetisyan also participated in the ceremony.
