In a closed session of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, the deputy commander for intelligence at the Al Quds Special Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)—the elite military units of Iran, denied the information about the recruitment of Iranian special services employees for plotting the murder—in Tehran—of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Hamas movement. Ebrahim Rezaei, the spokesperson of the aforesaid committee, informed about this, and presented another report on the investigation into Haniyeh's death.

“The deputy commander of the Al Quds forces has emphasized that the killing of martyr Haniyeh was not the result of involvement [of agents], and the issue of involvement in this incident is not being discussed," Rezaei said, reports IRNA news agency.
