Australia is interested in establishing lasting peace in the region and in normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, said Miles Robert, newly appointed Ambassador of Australia to Azerbaijan, while presenting his credentials to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.

"In this regard, President Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan will continue its efforts to contribute to the regional peace agenda and emphasized that peace has already been established in the region", APA added.
