High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan received Nilakshi Saha Sinha, Ambassador of India to Armenia, the office of the High Commissioner informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his remarks, the High Commissioner emphasized the historical significance of the Armenian community in India and discussed ongoing collaboration with the community.

During their meeting, Zareh Sinanyan detailed the key initiatives and programs led by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs. Also, he highlighted the upcoming Global Armenian Summit, set to take place in Yerevan from September 17 to 20, and noted that this year’s summit will feature participation from officials responsible for the Armenian diaspora affairs in partner countries.

Ambassador Nilakshi Saha Sinha, for her part, shared insights into India’s approach to engaging with its diaspora and citizens abroad.

The meeting concluded with a discussion of some other topics of mutual interest, underscoring the importance of enhancing multilateral cooperation between the diaspora authorities of Armenia and India.
