Exports from Armenia increased by 2.3 percent and imports—by 86.2 percent—in the first half of 2024. Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan said this during the debates on the state budget implementation report for the first half of 2024 at Monday’s meeting of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly.

Also, Hovhannisyan reported that if the export of gold is excluded, the export of Armenian products actually decreased by almost 4 percent.

"During the same period, import increased by 86.5 percent. However, without taking the gold factor into account, this indicator decreased by 6.7 percent," explained the finance minister.
