The Vedi dam project is more than 80% financed by the French Development Agency. French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Stéphane Séjourné wrote on social media.

“It will irrigate 3,200 hectares of farmland and support 5,000 farmers. France is supporting the implementation of an infrastructure program strategically important for Armenia's sustainability,” he wrote.
