US Secretary of State tells Aliyev of importance of fulfillment of human rights commitments

U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken spoke with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said.

“The Secretary of State emphasized the importance of bilateral relations between the US and Azerbaijan and stressed the US commitment to the success of COP 29 in Baku.

The Secretary of State and Aliyev discussed regional issues as well as bilateral cooperation, including the importance of Azerbaijan's compliance with international and human rights obligations,” Miller said.
