The leader of Lebanon's Hezbollah movement Hassan Nasrallah during his speech accused Israel of detonating pagers on the territory of Lebanon, Al Jazeera reports.
According to him, the Israeli authorities knew that there were more than 4000 thousand pagers and tried to kill 4000 people at the same time. The same thing was repeated on the second day to kill thousands of people who had radio devices, he said.
The Hezbollah leader described the attacks launched against Lebanon as a “terrorist act” and a “massacre.” He emphasized that these actions are a declaration of war against the Lebanese people and the country's sovereignty.
According to the Hezbollah leader, the movement has formed a number of investigative commissions examining various scenarios. He noted that all details will be established, but no hasty conclusions should be drawn. At the same time, Nasrallah admitted that the “unprecedented” attacks had dealt a serious blow to security.
