Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is in New York to participate in 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, delivered remarks at the Turkish House during a meeting with representatives of a number of American think tanks, reports Anadolu Agency of Turkey.

Erdogan reflected also on the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He emphasized that, together with Azerbaijan and Armenia, they have attained an important opportunity to achieve permanent peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

He stated that the main principles of Turkey are the strengthening of friendship, reducing disagreements and ensuring peace, and that Turkey considers respect for international law, state sovereignty, and territorial integrity as a mandatory condition.
