The Iranian delegation, led by President Masoud Pezeshkian, will try to start a new round of negotiations on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Tehran's nuclear program on the margins of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Iranian foreign minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has announced.

"I will stay in New York for a few more days than the [Iranian] president, and I will have more meetings with the foreign ministers of the countries. We will try to start a new round of negotiations on the nuclear issue," Araghchi said in a video posted on his Telegram account.
