The Constitutional Court of Armenia has completed the consideration of the matter of constitutionality of the regulation on the joint work of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border delimitation commissions.
The court went to the deliberation room a little while ago to make a decision on the matter.
If the Constitutional Court finds this document to be in line with Armenia’s constitution, the government will send it to the National Assembly—for ratification.
The Constitutional Court had started the examination—in a written procedure—of this matter on Tuesday at 11am.
The Armenian government had approved the bill on this regulation on September 5.
Before the ratification procedure of this bill will start in the National Assembly, it was sent to the Constitutional Court to determine whether it is in line with Armenia’s constitution.
According to the minutes of the eighth meeting of the border delimitation commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan on April 19, these commissions have completed the work of agreeing upon the regulation of their joint activities.
The regulation was signed on August 30, and Armenia and Azerbaijan have begun their respective domestic procedures.
