The Bundestag on September 25 agreed to increase funding for Ukraine's military support by about 400 million euros, the German government's press service reported.
“This will allow the purchase of additional air defense equipment, tanks, drones, ammunition and spare parts, which will provide an opportunity to effectively strengthen the Ukrainian armed forces in defense of their country,” the report said.
It is also reported that Germany will provide an additional 170 million euros in the short term for the restoration of the Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
It is noted that on the margins of the UN General Assembly a joint declaration of the G7 countries on support for the economic recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine was adopted.
Thus, the G7 partners once again reaffirmed their commitment to their commitments at the G7 Summit to provide additional funds in the amount of about 50 billion dollars by the end of the year.
