The publicizing of the agreed 13 articles of the peace treaty will give the party that does not want to sign the treaty a reason to say that all diplomatic norms have been violated, and therefore...etc. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during the question-and-answer session with the government at the National Assembly of Armenia on Wednesday.

He noted this while responding to opposition MP Artur Khachatryan’s question as to why the agreed 13 articles of the draft peace treaty with Azerbaijan are not presented to the Armenian public, and whether the Armenian public agrees to sign this document under those conditions.

"The content of the peace treaty that we have proposed is clear, understandable, and revealed for the public because I have reflected on those points on various occasions. There is no matter of secrecy here, there is a matter of diplomatic correctness. I cannot hold that paper and say ‘this is what is written in point 1, this is what is written in point 2, this is what is written in point 3.’ That document also has a second beneficiary, too, and making unilateral statements is not correct," Pashinyan added.

He noted that in his last press conference and in his speech from the UN podium, he basically publicized everything. Pashinyan said it is about diplomatic relations, about the bilateral commission monitoring the implementation of the peace treaty, about mutually recognizing each other's territorial integrity, and not having territorial claims fro one another.
