Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, congratulated Mark Rutte on his assumption of the office of Secretary General (SG) of NATO.

"My sincere congratulations to Mark Rutte on appointment to position of NATO SG. Looking forward to our close cooperation towards further enhancing partnership between Armenia & NATO, based on common values & shared vision to ensure more secure & peaceful future," Mirzoyan wrote on X.

Rutte assumed the post of NATO Secretary General on Tuesday.

He replaced Jens Stoltenberg—who headed this organization since 2014—in that capacity.
