Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad said more than 40 paramedics and firefighters have been killed by Israeli shelling in three days, Al Jazeera reported.

He told reporters that 97 “paramedics and firefighters” have been killed and 188 wounded since border fighting began last October. Abiad said a total of 1,974 people have been killed in Lebanon, including 127 children. He added that more than 9,350 people were wounded.
