President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has unleashed a new batch of disinformation, threats, and blackmail. As usual, the main target of Aliyev's attacks was Armenia—but this time the US and France were also affected.

"Today is a day of mourning for the anti-Azerbaijani forces. That is, how can it be that without our permission, without asking anyone, without fearing anyone, without taking anyone into account, Azerbaijan restored its rights? On the account of their own strength, on the account of the dedication of their sons. They cannot forgive us for that," Aliyev said Friday during a meeting with the Azerbaijani residents of Jabrayil—the Azerbaijani name of the historical Armenian district of Jrakan.

"Today America imposes sanctions on Azerbaijan. And after that they say ‘let’s strengthen our friendship.’ What kind of friendship can we talk about?" said the leader of Azerbaijan. "Azerbaijan must rely only on its own strength and not be deceived by any promises, flattering words, or false statements."

"The [OSCE] Minsk group was involved in justifying the Armenian occupation [of Nagorno-Karabakh] to some extent and pushing Azerbaijan to a humiliating peace," added Aliyev. "They were telling us that ‘your words are too harsh. This harsh rhetoric does not bring peace closer, but further away. This conflict has no military solution.’ That is, France and similar Western countries did everything to perpetuate this occupation."

The president of Azerbaijan said as follows regarding Armenia: "Armenia has been involved in dangerous games. Let them not forget the story of the Second Karabakh War [in 2020]. Let them not forget how they were begging us on their knees for mercy, how they were petitioning to Russia at the highest level ten times a day, asking to stop the war. Let them not forget about the anti-terror operation. Let them not forget that even in those geographical conditions we were able to achieve what we wanted. We uprooted [Armenian] separatism [in Nagorno-Karabakh] in just a few hours without looking back, no matter what.”

In fact, in just one speech, Aliyev admitted that he waged an aggressive war against Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, announced his intention to repeat it, calling "not to forget," and confirmed that within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group, everything was going towards the independent status of Nagorno-Karabakh.
