The assembly of the leaders of the National Assembly in France, which unites the heads of all parliamentary factions of the country, has decided to reject the initiative of the far-left La France Insoumise (Unbreakable France) party to impeach President Emmanuel Macron, Le Figaro writes.

The aforesaid assembly decided that the impeachment initiative does not deserve to be put on the agenda of the public session. Thus, this ultra-left initiative, which was rejected by the legislative committee last week, will not be debated on at the session.

During the meeting, the leaders of the left-wing factions had voted in favor of submitting this initiative to the parliament. But it was not supported by the other factions.

After Macron's refusal to appoint a new prime minister from the left, the aforesaid far-left political force had declared the election "stolen" and started protests.
