Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati received Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation Lola bint Rashid Al Khater at the Grand Serail Government Palace in Beirut, the Lebanese PM's office said in a statement.

The meeting was also attended by Qatar's ambassador to Lebanon Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and the Lebanese ministers of health and environment.

“We reaffirm our firm and unwavering position on Lebanon, its sovereignty and its right to maintain its security and stability as well as the safety of its citizens. We also strongly condemn all attacks on Lebanese civilians,” Qatar's Al Khater said after the meeting, reiterating international calls for a ceasefire.

Al Khater also announced the launch of an air campaign to bring humanitarian aid from Qatar to Lebanon as Israel's relentless attacks continue across the country, including its capital Beirut, and the number of people displaced by the attacks has surpassed one million. “We expect to send 10 C-17 aircraft loaded with medical supplies as well as shelter and food during this month,” he said.
