The joint maritime rescue drills were held with the participation of warships and destroyers of the Iranian and IRGC Army navies and the Royal Navy of Oman, Mehr reported.

The Iranian and Omani navies' joint maritime rescue exercise “Mountain Falcons-1” based on sea base operational plans, organized by the Omani Navy and with the participation of warships of the Iranian and IRGC navies and surface and flight combat units of the Omani Navy, was conducted in the waters of the northern Indian Ocean and the Strait of Hormuz.

 The exercise was conducted to enhance combat readiness and implement agreements related to maritime security scenarios within the framework of the joint military friendship commissions of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman.
